Have you ever been embarrassed when a new friend learns something about you that even your oldest friends don’t know?

It’s eerie, strolling over the uneven ground, kicking through the overgrown grass, and then suddenly realizing you’re standing on someone’s grave marker.

We aren’t sure when the boys will be coming to haunt us, but we’re pretty confident it’ll be after dark and probably after we get into our tents for the night.

I was playing the music so loudly on Julie’s “don’t-touch-my” stereo, that I didn’t immediately hear the banging on our bedroom door.

I am not the neatest person in the world. Don’t get me wrong. I’m neat in a cool, hip and happening way, it’s just that I find it difficult to keep my abode neat and clean.

Black lives matter. And they matter just as much as White lives. Now, let’s prove it.

That’s their goal. These hate organizations threaten both the peace of our nation, and the personal peace of each one of us. No one should live in fear. Black or White.

The state of Mississippi, however, did not ratify the 13th Amendment until 1995.

And I can’t remember one year in which I celebrated this extremely important day in American history.
