Hi, I’m Jill Foley; welcome to my website! I live on the central coast of California (between Monterey and Santa Cruz) where I am a stay-at-home mom, wife, voiceover acting student, elementary school volunteer, and now a blogger. In my mind I see myself as the best-selling author of a critically acclaimed suspense novel, a voiceover actor for several Disney animated motion pictures, an award-winning photographer, an incredibly talented private detective well-respected by the law enforcement community, an accomplished graphic designer, and world-renowned archaeologist. If you’re like me, you too are much more accomplished in your mind than in reality.
At different times in my life I’ve also aspired to be an architect, handwriting analysis expert, advertising executive, child psychologist, and when I was very young, a ventriloquist and magician. I have too many interests in too many things. And since I cannot pursue all of my interests into a single career, why not attempt to learn more about each topic through my writing? Through this very blog!
I started this site as a sort of incentive to get and keep me writing. More than 20 years ago I started my great American novel. More than 19 years ago I stopped. I moved to California from Ohio and really never worked on it again. I’ve done very little writing over the past two decades. And even though I stopped working to be a stay-at-home mom ten years ago, I still did not write. I figure now, if I invite friends and family to visit my blog, they may start asking me for new installments which will then put a fire under my butt to get me writing.
